The 4 A’s Explained

by UdellGroup on July 12, 2011

Developed over 20 years, our framework The Udell Matrix© has been adopted by business leaders and high-performing individuals throughout the world. Having embraced our methodology, many have seen their lives and businesses transformed.

In pursuit of our philosophy and approach – Growth and Transformation through Learning and Discovery – The Udell Matrix© consists of four core beliefs:

Adventure            We live in a chaotic world, with known and unknown opportunities

During the Adventure stage we invite leaders to identify the opportunities, challenges and threats to the organisation at a business, team and individual level.  Is the organisation, team or individual living up to their vision, purpose, skills and capabilities? What new opportunities can be exploited or prepared for? How can the unknown be explored and developed?

Awareness            Everything on the outside starts from something on the inside.

In the Awareness Stage we explore in detail the strengths and weaknesses of the business, team and individual. What is holding us back in terms of our identity, our beliefs, our capabilities and our environment? What strengths are we lacking or not utilising to their fullest extent? The aim will be to gain an awareness of how our neurobiology, beliefs and programming can and do affect our behaviour, relationships and actions.

Authenticity            When we’re being who we really are, we are at our best

We explore our Authentic behaviours that will deliver our goals and how such behaviours will be measured, understanding what this means for the team and how it could result in new methodologies in what they do. The aim will be to understand authenticity from a personal point of view and therefore how understanding more deeply that who we are can change the way we approach work, relationships, alignment and fulfilment.

Alignment            Owning and taking responsibility for our lives enables us to grow, develop, transform and get the most from our lives.

We look at the concept of Alignment and its importance to business success and personal fulfilment; articulating and committing to how we personally engage and align ourselves and our teams/networks to the organisational behaviours, in delivering the business and personal goals; aligning business success and personal fulfilment.

The 4 A’s© create a purposeful life for powerful results. The diagram below illustrates this.
