Client Situation

A public organisation advising the Government and working in partnership with a multiple of other national public organisations. The Chief Executive Officer was keen to take the organisation to the next level, strengthen the capabilities of the senior leadership team, create a stronger coalition of strategic and operational partners and inspire the rest of the organisation to drive them forward, to deliver against their vision and strategy

Our Role 

  • Following the successful delivery of the Value Driven Alignment programme, to launch a Value Leadership Programme from Executive Board level down through the rest of the organisation. This included engaging key external stakeholders (strategic partners) from outside the organisation to take part on the Value Leadership Programme

Outputs 

  • The Executive Board and Senior Leadership Teams (SLT) were aligned and recognised for adding more value to the business
  • The Executive Board members had more time and space in which to make a real difference to Natural England; increased profile, impact and influence with major stakeholders
  • The SLT understood the role required of them as a group going forward at a behavioural and operational level and what the changes mean to them both individually and collectively, therefore driving the operational/business agenda effectively and efficiently
  • The SLT were holding one another to account, working together with a relentless focus on  delivery, leadership, management, relationships and ways of working
  • The SLT were able to rollout the Value Leadership Programme with the rest of the organisation in order to inspire
  • An appetite for greater collaboration with internal and external stakeholders was created
