Client Situation

  • New CEO of £1.5b turnover looking to double turnover in 2 – 3 years. Company had matrix structure but was very functional in nature with a ‘stovepipe’ culture in which co-operation was poor, partly due to conflicting P&L targets

Our Role

  • Developed business model that could move them to the next level in business performance. Included recommendations on structures, governance and organisational development supported by clear benefits and benchmarking
  • Investigated the market sector and how it was currently being serviced, and benchmarked competitors
  • Facilitated Board business strategy workshops, challenging individuals on company business and people strategy and their role in delivering targets
  • Recommended number of structural options, with processes, systems and behaviours
  • Facilitated transition team to steer the process, deliver business benefits at pace and create implementation plan for rollout to whole business
